Tafuna High School is the overall winner of the Senior Division of the 2024 National History Day Competition. It’s the 8th year that the Home of the Warriors has topped the competition.
Tafuna won first place in 4 of the 11 categories of the competition: Historical Paper , Individual Exhibit, Group Exhibit and Group Website; and took second place in five categories: Individual Documentary, Group Documentary, Individual Performance, Group Performance and Historian.
Samoana High School placed first in five categories: Individual Documentary, Group Documentary, Individual Performance, Group Performance, and Historian. 
Samoana’s Carlos Sanchez topped the individual documentary, and was judged the top historian, followed by Tafuna’s Marinette Ioane, Soloi Lausen and Aveoleola Lauvao while Hayle Jeanette Tuiasosopo also of Tafuna placed 3rd.
