ASG’s Summer Youth Employment Program will begin June 24, and a total of 612 slots have been made available for young people to get exposure to different careers and receive on the job training for six weeks while being paid.
Acting Director of Human Resources Max Tuitele says registration for the program was from April 8 to May 31.
This year’s Theme is “Yes, WE can!” or “Ioe, e te Mafaia!”
Tuitele says the focus is to “enable and equip” participants through training provided by the Employers/Worksites.
The opening ceremony is June 24, 2024, from 9am to 12pm at the DYWA Gymnasium, Tafuna.
Orientation for the young men and women selected will also be conducted the same day therefore, attendance is mandatory for participants and the Employers/Worksites.
Participants will be placed throughout government departments, agencies and semi autonomous authorities and private businesses. They will work four hours a day, five days a week.
