Olympic diver Greg Louganis, often referred to as one of the greatest divers in history, is visiting the territory.

He arrived last night and is with a production team to shoot a show, according to his Business Manager, Beth Zinman.

Its understood that Louganis will be visiting family while here. Louganis has roots in Fagatogo from the Lutu family. A story by KITV-Honolulu in 2017 focused on his reunion with his birth father Fouvale Lutu in Hawaii. Two years ago his family honored him with a matai title, Tamali’ifa’aeatumua, in a ceremony in Hawaii.

Louganis was born in American Samoa and was put up for adoption when he was 9 months old. His adopted parents are Peter and Francis Louganis.

Louganis is the only man and the second diver in Olympic history to sweep the diving events in consecutive Olympic Games, the 1984 and 1988 Olympics.
