Suspected Zika Cases Up, No Change in Confirmed Case

The number of suspected cases of Zika in the territory reached 569 as of May 6, 2016.

Blood samples from 125 of these cases, including 52 pregnant women have been tested in a lab in Honolulu

From the results of lab testing to date, the number of confirmed cases of Zika has remained at 14 for several weeks now.

Of the confirmed cases, 6 are pregnant women.

Symptoms of Zika include a high fever, sore joints, red eyes and a rash.

The Department of Health continues to stress the three D’s: Drain water, use insect repellant containing DEET and dress appropriately.
