The program for the territory’s biggest holiday, Flag Day is shaping up.
It’s still preliminary but you can expect a fautasi race every day of the week before Flag Day.
A member of the Committee says from Monday, April 11 there’ll be daily activities at the Siugaula ole Atuvasa.
The Department of Agriculture and farmers are staging a Farm Fair and a Trade Fair by local businesses to exhibit their goods and services will be held during the day.
Then at night there’ll be dancing, singing and other entertainment as part of the Arts Council Program.
And there’ll also be a fautasi race Monday to Friday that week.
It’s planned that the ASG and Fono fautasi will have a race of their own.
And the village boats will have their own heats.
Two preliminary heats are planned which will decide the semi finalists and then the finalists.
The fautasi championship race will be on Saturday that week.
Then Sunday is the opening church service for Flag Day, April 17 and the full on Flag Day program is on Monday, April 18.
