Local Artists Part of Exhibit in City by the Bay

Art Professor at the American Samoa Community College, Reggie Meredith and her husband Wilson Fitiao are part of an art exhibition now on display at the MCCLA Main gallery in San Francisco.

Another Samoan artist Sekio Fuapopo is also part of the Deep Blue Sea String of Pearls Exhibition a collaboration of 11 artists from the West Coast.

The opening was on August 3 and according to Meredith there were 100 guests.

Their collection will be on exhibit at the galley up to September 9.Reggie, Wilson

A flyer says the artists see themselves as a string of Pacific Pearls…”Each one unique yet all created over time immersed in the rhythm of Pacific tides that is the combined forces excerted by Moon, Sun and the rotation of Mother Earth.”

“These artists come together to present the stae of their union , their fusion of their creativity and an alliance of Pacific Artists through a cultural collaboration of contemporary paintings, drawing,s sculptures and prints.”
