Leone High School and Midkiff Elementary School were broken into early this morning.
Officials at the high school said the culprit or culprits broken down the doors to the principal’s office and that of a senior counselor and covered the walls with graffiti and pornographic images.
Two classrooms and the school gym were vandalized and were left in a mess.
A laptop appears to be the only thing that was removed from the principal’s office.
Her computer wasn’t touched, which has led to speculation that the person or persons responsible may have been looking for money.
A teacher who witnessed the vandalism said the high school has been broken into several times but many of those incidents were not reported to authorities.
The police substation in Leone is right next to the high school.
The principal of Leone Midkiff Elementary Principal declined to provide information on the break in at their school, saying a report has been submitted to the Elementary Division Office.
