The new principal of Samoana High School, Tupa’i Rod Atafua, speaks with enthusiasm about his new assignment.

Tupa’i spent seven years at Nu’uuli Technical High School, where he was vice principal for four years and principal for the last three years.

He says it’s an honor to be chosen to take charge of the oldest high school in the territory and it’s a change moving from the west side to the Bay Area.

He believes his years as a school  administrator equips him to step up to the challenge.

Tupa’i says his goal at the outset is to have the faculty on the same page.
