Tonight at the Lee Auditorium one of six young women will be crowned the new Miss American Samoa.
The contestants for the 2017 Miss American Samoa are: Salamasina Itu’aumalosi Aumua, Shalom Moana, Sharane Tofi Smith, Feiloa’i Thompson, Matau’aina To’omalatai and Annie Masoe.
From Sunday the contestants have had a busy week with pageant activities, in between getting fitted for their outfits and rehearsals for their talents and opening number.
Yesterday was the pre-pageant interview and the girls gut to meet the judges for the first time.
President of the Miss American Samoa Inc. Mrs Meafou Imo says while it has been challenging organizing the pageant, the public response and the contests themselves have been fantastic. 
Tickets for general seating are sold out and corporate tables are almost a sell out.
