Efforts are underway to re-establish the Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps at the American Samoa Community College.
House Representatives who are also veterans expressed concern that the territory was losing a valuable military education program which enables young men and women to gain officer positions upon entry in the US Army.
Master Sgt. Wesson was in the territory last week for discussions with American Samoa Community College officials and is confident that the ROTC program now has the support necessary to get the number of recruits needed to make the program viable.
