Treasury thanks Customs Chief Moevao

The Department of Treasury has issued a statemenrt regarding the resignation of Chief of Customs Liavaa Moevao.

It states, “On behalf of the Department of Treasury and Customs Division, we announce the resignation of Mr. Liavaa Moevao as the Chief of Customs effective July 20, 2018. Chief Moevao has accepted a position as Senior Pastor for the Congressional Christian Church in Huntington Beach, California.

“While his tenure was short, his leadership and integrity left a positive impact towards accomplishing the Customs Division mission and objectives and will be missed.

“On behalf of the Department of Treasury, we want to thank Chief Moevao for his service and wish him and his wife Pearl safe travels and success in the next chapter of their lives.

“In the interim, Deputy Chief of Customs Iuliano Falaniko will oversee the day to day operation until such time as a permanent replacement is placed.

“Thank you Chief Moevao for your service and God speed.”
