FFAS President Faiivae Iuli is VP of OFC

Senator Faiivae Iuli Alex Godinet, President of the Football Federation of American Smaoa was elected Vice-President of the Oceania Football Confederation during the OFC Executive Committee meeting in Russia last month.

“It is a great honor for me to be elected as a vice-president of OFC,” Sen. Faiivae said. “I am deeply humbled by this selection by my peers in the Oceania region.”

Faiivae has been a member of the OFC executive committee for several years, and president of the association since 2008.

He is one of the longest serving presidents of the 11 OFC member associations.

Faiivae is also a member of the FIFA Association’s Committee that oversees the 211 FIFA Member Associations.

The senator for Fofo District is chairman of the Senate Education Committee, he chairs the American Samoa Telecommunications Authority Board of Directors, Chairman of the ASG Financial Aid Board and president of the American Samoa Humanities Council Board.

Faiivae is also chairman of the Diocesan Council of the Catholic Church and chairman of the Fofo County Coalition Drug-Free Communities Support program, which tackles social issues affecting youth such as underage drinking, drug and tobacco use.
