Next week The Alliance for Strengthening Familes is hosting a poetry slam in conjunction with Brown Girl Woke, an organization founded by Doris Tofilau. 
The event, which celebrates Domestic Ciolence Awareness Month, takes place at the ASCC Multi-Purpose Center next week Thursday, November 1st at 11AM.
