The newest law firm to open in the territory is MTL Law, whose founding partners are Gwen Tauiliili-Langkilde and Lornalei Meredith.
MTL Law hosted a function Friday evening to celebrate their office opening at the Mosooi Business Center.
Many relatives and friends joined the celebration.
Tauiliili Langkilde, who is licensed to practice in both Hawaii and American Samoa has been an attorney in both the public and private sector for 17 years.
She started as an assistant attorney general in ASG, served as an assistant legal counsel to the governor from 1996-2000, was the attorney for ASTCA and also ASPA and was also counsel to the American Samoa Election Office.
She is a former President of the American Samoa Bar Association and is currently a District Court Judge Pro Tem.
Lornalei Meredith, who is licensed to practice in Utah and American Samoa, joined the AG’s Office in 2012 and was most recently the Deputy Attorney General.
She is also a former president of the American Samoa Bar Association and is the Bar’s current Treasurer.
