Senator Nuanuaolefeagaiga Saoluaga Nua, candidate for the 2020 gubernatorial elections has announced his running mate.

The announcement was made at the candidate for governor’s residence in Tafuna this afternoon with Mrs Nua, Lt Governor candidate Tapumanaia and his wife Cassandra Solaita Satele present. 
Tapumanaia, currently the Deputy Director of the Office for the Protection and Advocacy for the Disabled said that after prayerful thought and discussion with his father and family, he has accepted the invitation to run with Senator Nua.

His father Paramount Chief and Senator Satele Galu Satele was concerned of his entry in the gubernatorial race because they have family ties to several of the candidates who are rumored to be vying in the elections.
Tapumanaia says he had considered running in previous gubernatorial races but had been talked out ot if .
He feels if he doesn’t jump in now, his time may never come.

The team would not discuss any priority issues for their campaign at this time.
Nuanuaolefeagaiga said upon his return from Honolulu their committee would meet and select a committee chairman and map out their campaign.
Nuanuaolefeagaiga Saoluaga Nua and Tapumanaia Galu Satele Jr are the first team to announce.
There are at least four other teams reportedly aiming for the top two posts in the executive branch.
