American Samoa’s National Rugby team Talavalu won two and lost one of its opening day matches at the Oceania Sevens in Suva, Fiji yesterday.
The winner of the competition will qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Japan.
Talavalu went down 29-5 to Tonga, then won 17-14 against Nauru and triumphed over Vanuatu 19-7.
On the second day of competition it was shutout by one of the tournament favorites Australia 66-0.
