The territory’s only movie theater is closing until further notice as a precaution for coronavirus.
The company which owns Nu’uuli Place Cinemas, Regal, yesterday announced the closure of all theater locations effective today.
Mooky Greidinger Cineworld CEO said, “At any time at any Regal, its our goal to provide a safe and healthy environment for our employees and guests.
“At this time, we have made the difficult decision to close our theaters. We value our movie loving customers and have no doubt we will be serving them again as soon as possible with a full slate of Holywood Blockbusters.”
The Nuuuli Place Cinemas has ten employees who will be without paychecks while the theater is closed down.
Local employees have been told the closure may take anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks.
