The MV Pago Pago, a private vessel owned by businessman Papalii Laulii Alofa, arrived in port Friday morning from Honolulu.
Investigations are being held into the death of a Port Administration employee who had crewed the vessel from Hawaii.
Jerusalem Tuipelehake and four other members of the Manu’atele crew were believed to have taken leave to sail the vessel which is an old naval torpedo retriever, to the territory.
On saturdaymorning, the MV Pago Pago departed for Ofu, Manu’a to take an ASTCA satellite to restore communications to the island .
Papalii said he was asked by Port Administration for assistance in moving ASTCA supplies to fix their communications and he was glad to help.
