The sound of a plane in the sky is so unusual these days. So when people heard a small plane fly from Tafuna Airport towards Samoa this morning they were curious.

Acutally it was the Samoa Airways Twin Otter that has been based here for the last two weeks flying to Faleolo.

Station Manager Toe Loia said the plane needed to have a part replaced.

The aircraft returned to Tafuna this afternoon to continue charters for the Manu’a islands.

The two pilots who have been based here for the two week duration, flew the aircraft over this morning, and flew it back this afternoon.

With the pilots are two airline mechanics from Apia.
