One company is helping employees cope with the hardships they and their families are facing at this time of COVID-19 restrictions.
When they picked up their paychecks on Thursday the 40+ Pentagon Samoa Construction employees were surprised to receive 2 cases of chicken legs each from Pentagon Samoa Construction Owner/President Taupau Tauileave Toluono and Mrs. Fuailelagi Satele Toluono to help supplement their income.
Taupau told the employees, “We know things are hard right now. Especially for hourly workers with multiple mouths to feed during this time of adhering to the Emergency Declaration Restrictions. Most of you have multiple family members at home during the day needing 3 meals a day. With Good Friday being observed this week and it not being a federal holiday, you also have limited hours this payroll.”
The PSC President continued, “The health and well-being of you, our employees are of the utmost importance to us at this time. We realize that financial stability and job security are the top concerns for our employees and Pentagon Samoa would like to address your worries and fears in ways that will lighten your financial worries in some small way.
“This pandemic has shown us how critical it is to embrace our humanity and we are trying our best as a local company that employs our local people to be understanding and caring during these hard times. This Good Friday and Easter let us continue to remember the sacrifice made by our Lord as we continue to sacrifice to keep our families safe from this Pandemic.”
