COVID-19 is not slowing down ASG construction projects.
Work has already begun on the long awaited gymnasium for Nu’uuli Vocational Technical High School. The contractor is Nana’s Construction.
There are four other school gymnasiums which will soon break ground.
These are for Leone Midkiff, Manulele Tausala, Lupelele and Pago Pago elementary schools.
Governor Lolo Moliga wants the four gym projects to be ready for construction by May and said contractors will have six months to complete them.
He said the Department of Interior has also approved funding for the government shipyard at Satala. A derailment incident at the shipyard last year has put the railway out of commission.
Other projects in the pipeline that the governor mentioned are the Ofu dock repairs and dredging of Faleasao Harbor.
