Two firemen were killed in an accident on the Aua Afono road early this morning.
Preliminary information indicates that the fire truck was returning from a fire in Afono when it crashed into the mountainside as it was approaching the last curve close to Aua.
It’s suspected that the truck lost its brakes as it was coming down the hill.
The driver of the truck is reported to have died at the scene while the other fireman died at the hospital.
Two other firemen were admitted for injuries and are reported to be in stable condition.
