A five year old girl died last Saturday after a pulpit fell on her in a church at Samatau, a village west of Faleolo International Airport.
TV1 Samoa reports the child had gone with some members of her family to clean and decorate the church for the Sunday service when the accident happened.
Details of how the accident happened are not clear but the young girl is reported to have died on the way to the hospital.
