The Senate confirmed this morning after a brief hearing Salaia Gabbard, Papalii Laulii Alofa and Iulogologo Joseph Pereira as directors of the Territorial Bank of American Samoa.
Gabbard was confirmed by a unanimous 17-0 vote while Iulogologo and Papalii were passed by a 16-1 vote.
Gabbard and Papalii have served on the bank board since it was established four years ago while Iulogologo is filling the vacancy created by the passing of Steve Watson.
The confirmation hearing lasted less than 30 minutes. When questioned about the master card for TBAS the board members said the bank is close to getting a new master card.
Bank officials have said that they are targeting the month of August to have the new card available.
