Sen Utu Sila Poasa
During the confirmation hearing of Christopher King as Port Director on Friday, Senator Utu Sila Poasa who was Director of Port Administration in the mid-1990’s said that there are long laid out plans for the airport.
He questioned why the airport is still without a jet way and why the terminal building has not yet been made into a two story building.
Utu, who said he had hired King from off-island during his term as Port Director, was critical of the current renovations at the airport. He asked why the 5, 10 and 20-year airport improvement plans had not been followed.
