Ti’alemasunu Dr. Etuale Mikaele is now the Chief Procurement Officer of the American Samoa Government.
Yesterday he received unanimous approval in the Senate.
Today the House of Representstives confirmed him also by unanimous vote, 18-0.
Ti’alemasunu, an educator by profession, served as a special assistant to former Governor Lolo Moliga for the last 8 years. He started as a high school instructor in public schools, was a teacher and administrator in Catholic schools before joining the American Samoa Community College where he worked his way up to the position of Vice President.
A graduate of Marist Brothers High School, he holds a Bachelors from Fullerton State University, California a Masters in Educstion from San Francisco University and a Doctorate in Education from Fielding Graduate University.
In the Senate, Matautu Dr Peter Tinitali received unanimous approval to serve as Director of the Office for the Protection and Advocacy of the Disabled, (OPAD). The vote was 18-0.
