Today, Tafuna High School’s Liualevaiosina Chloe Leiato is competing, virtually, in the National Science Symposium held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Yesterday, her project on coral reefs was selected second overall in the Hawaii-based Pacific Symposium for Science and Sustainability; and it’s one of five, from the Pacific Symposium, that will compete in the National Science Symposium today.

Ms. Leiato will not only be representing American Samoa but also the Pacific on the national stage.

She said, “I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my research. All the glory belongs to the Lord for his guidance and counsel throughout this journey. I look forward to what this project could offer our science community —especially my home.”

Congratulations Chloe, for placing second in the Hawaii competition and all the best in the nationals today.
