The committee in charge of the fundraiser for the Moamoa Theological College and Seminary in Samoa, has reached out to graduates of the school or children whose parents and grandparents attended Moamoa for their help.
The 145-year-old college needs to upgrade classrooms, the church and homes where students live and has a radiothon and telethon tomorrow, in Samoa, as its first effort to get the needed cash.
Vicar General of the local Catholic Diocese, Monsignor Viane Etuale, who studied at Moamoa Theological College for 1 and 1/2 years before he attended Mt. Angel Seminary in Oregon, and Chancellor Fr. Kolio Tumanuvao, are coordinating the collection of donations locally.
They are calling on graduates of the college, catechists, deacons and people of the local diocese, as well as the public at large, to please lend a hand.
They will be at the Fatuoaiga Hall from 8am to 4pm tomorrow, Friday, July 15th, to receive all donations to be forwarded to Moamoa Theological College.
Call Monsignor Viane Etuale:258-4606, Fr. Kolio:731-9987 or Monica Miller:258-4197.
