At the Question and Answer Forum hosted by the American Samoa Bar Association and Department of Youth and Women Affairs on the proposed constitutional amendments, the panelists were asked to give pros and cons of the proposed changes.
Director of the 2022 Constitutional Convention, Tapaau Dr. Dan Aga, who is also Director of the Office of Political Status, Constitutional Review and Federal Relations, commented on the advantages of local appointment of the chief justice and associate justices.
