It’s official, Toa Samoa will be in Samoa this month.

A Rugby League Samoa official, dual international star Lauaki Fereti Tuilagi, told KHJ News’ Apia correspondent that the Rugby League World Cup finalists will arrive in Samoa, December 27.

He said, the program has yet to be finalized but “everyone will be here then.”

Questions have been asked, on whether the team would be brought home to meet Samoa based fans and supporters.

Deputy Prime Minister Tuala Iosefo Ponifasio said, while returning from watching the team in England, that the Cabinet would meet to discuss bringing the team home.

Tuala told the media that when he spoke to team members after their games, they all wanted to come to Samoa.

Toa Samoa reached the World Cup final in England, becoming the first Samoan rugby team, men’s or women’s, union or league, to achieve such a feat.

After shocking Tonga and England to reach the final, Toa Samoa went down 30-10 to Australia at Old Trafford, Manchester, with the crowd mostly supporting Toa Samoa.

Lauaki, who arrived in Samoa last night, said that all the players will be in Apia, including coaches and other officials.
