The Lealaifuaneva Peter E. Reid Foundation continues its charitable giving.
The Foundation, established by the children of the late businessman, senator, and philanthropist, Lealaifuaneva Peter Reid Jr., who was a benefactor of schools, sports groups and community causes in the territory, makes a sizeable donation to the Diocese of Samoa Pago Pago each year.
Bishop Peter Brown said, “It is in the Birth of Christ, we witness the service and love for others.”
“On behalf of the Diocese of Samoa, Pago Pago, may I take this opportunity to thank Olivia Reid and the Board of the Leala Reid Foundation for their donations to the works for the Diocese:
- $75,000 for Hope House and the Residents Day Care
- $14,689.25 for St Theresa’s School for resources
- $7624.25 for Fatuoaiga Montessori for resources and
- $11,000 for Alao Parish for a bell
The Bishop said, “On behalf of the Diocese, I thank the Reid Foundation for their continued support of Diocesan projects that would never be completed. The Foundation has also been a great supporter of the recent Cathedral renovations.”
