First “I’m a Scientist” Summer Camp

About 50 children, aged 6-15, are learning about the spread of diseases and germs, nutritional value of food, how to use a microscope and DNA extraction at the, “I am a Scientist,” Summer Camp.

The camp is sponsored by the LBJ Tropical Medical Center and Chaminade University.

This is the first “I am a Scientist” Camp to be held in the territory, and the aim is to expand health education with a focus on STEM subjects.

Rhea Jose from Chaminade University spoke with KHJ News about the camp.
