Candidate for Governor Pula answered in Samoan quoting a Samoan proverb, “E le falala fua lau o le niu, ae falala ona o le matagi. (The leaves of a coconut tree do not sway by themselves but sway because of the wind).” He said he and Pulu have decided to run after hearing from so many people that they are unhappy with the way things are. “We have gathered from walking the villages and visiting homes many people want a change in government. Pulu and I want to offer our service to help push our territory forward, said Pula. He added that there is no intention to lay blame or pinpoint failures. “It is out of our love and sense of service for our territory that we have decided to run for office. Our main purpose is to be of service to our people and territory.”

Candidate for Lt. Governor Maefau Dr. Mary Taufetee answered for the Vaitautolu and Taufetee team.
