Attorney General Fainulelei Alailima Utu says the Chief Prosecutor and an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division are reviewing the case of the drugs that were discovered in a Xerox printer at the airport, last month.
KHJ News reported last Friday that no arrests had been made relating to this case, and a senior DPS investigator on the case said they are waiting on the Attorney General’s Office.
The Attorney General said police investigators were given questions requesting important information from local sources and federal law enforcement. He said, “Hopefully DPS investigators will soon provide the answers to those questions as my office, DPS and Customs work together on this drug case.”
Three baggies containing crystal methamphetamine were discovered in a printer that arrived on the cargo flight on the Columbus Day holiday. The drugs were discovered by customs agents at the airport.
