Tomorrow is a federal holiday in honor of the passing of former US President Jimmy Carter. But it’s not an ASG holiday, and all government offices and departments will be open tomorrow.

A press release from the Communications Division of the Governor’s Office today said all ASG agencies and departments are expected to report to work as usual, and there will be no disruption to the regular work schedule for local government employees.

The release said that as a tribute to President Carter’s legacy and service to the nation, the American Samoa Government will display flags at half-staff for a period of 30 days.

The federal holiday in honor of President Carter was declared by President Biden on December 29th.
