Lt. Governor Pulumataala Ae Ae Jr., has urged veterans of all branches of the US Armed Forces to unite and make use of services being made available for them.
He was speaking Thursday at an orientation event for veterans, military service members and their families organized by the Veterans Affairs Office to welcome new members and promote services that the VA Office offers for veterans and their families.
The Lt. Governor urged all veterans, regardless of their branch of service-Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines-to engage with the VA Office. Pulu said past divisions with veterans of each branch wanting to keep to their own group should not continue. He added that these divisions is why he stayed away from the Veterans Association, but he will now become an active member seeing efforts by the VA office to bring everyone together.
Highlighting the office’s 55-year legacy, Lt. Governor Pulu reiterated that it is a space for all veterans, providing not only essential services, but also a welcoming space for camaraderie and leisure activities.
He concluded by thanking the Director of Veterans and Military Affairs and staff for organizing the event and making it a success.
