ASG departments were out decorating and cleaning their assigned zones Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for the Flag Day festivities. The Island-Wide Clean-up Committee had instructed that all clean-up and decorations of the various zones were to be completed by the end of the day Thursday, but some departments were continuing their decorations on Friday.

Utility poles, bus stops, and other structures by the roadside have been decorated with coconut leaves and teuila flowers. Small flags are hanging at a few bus stops, and government buildings are decked out in red, white, and blue.

Businesses are also displaying their spirit of patriotism with their own clean-up and decorations for the 125th Flag Day celebration.
