Fautasi flags displayed at Flag Day celebration in Anchorage

In Anchorage, Alaska, Flag Day was celebrated Sunday with a totem parade and celebratory cruise.

The organizers were the Fili o Alaska Tatou e Tasi Car Club.

Treasurer Tauoa-Faamasino told Alaska News Source said that the celebration was open to the community. She said the Samoans present represented different homes with different flags.

She said, “We invited everybody because this is not just for us, [it’s] for our Samoan community over here.”

Many of those who participated brought out their village fautasi flags.
