The Executive Director of the 2024 FestPac, Dr Aaron Sala, proudly introduced himself at the opening ceremony in Samoan, as a child of a Hawaiian Mother and a Samoan father.
Dr Sala is the son of Chief Associate Judge Mamea Sala.
Taking the stage Thursday night he gave his opening remarks in Samoan, sang “Ua Faafetai” and welcomed the participating nations.
