Sapolu: It’s all about providing opportunities

Four time Superbowl champion, Seiuli Jesse Sapolu of San Francisco 49er fame says providing opportunities for Samoan players is the reason why the Polynesian Football Hall of fame continues to hold football camps in the islands.

He said there were challenges organizing this year’s camp because Hawaiian Air flights were full so they had to go to New Zealand first, come here for one day on a Samoa Airways charter, then return to Apia and onto Australia.

He says bringing NFL stars like Juju Smith Schuster should help inspire homegrown talent about the possibilities that football provides.
