Newly ordained priest of the Diocese of Samoa Pago Pago, Father Pio Afu, is celebrating his first Mass at the Holy Family Cathedral at 5 this evening.
Fr. Pio, the son of Toetu Eseta and Leveni Afu, of Iliili was ordained a priest on Monday.
He has been assigned to the Co-Cathedral Parish of St. Joseph the Worker in Fagatogo where he will work with Vicar General, Monsignor Viane Etuale.
At Fr. Pio’s Mass of Ordination, Bishop Peter Brown, imparted advice that Pope Francis gave for new priests in Rome.
