The second day of political candidate forums at Tafuna High School featured candidates for the House election in Tuala-Uta District.
All eight men and women vying for Tuala-uta’s two seats were in attendance and answered questions that ranged from drugs in schools, improving economic situation in the territory to the attempt to raise limits of investments from the Retirement Fund.
They are Papali’i Su’a Lucia Bartley, Foma’i Paepule Logoai, Larry Sanitoa, Manumalo Nikolao Toa Mageo, Rep. Samuel Ioka Ale Meleisea, Talataina Valusia Talataina, Tapumanaia Galu Satele Jr. and Rep. Vui Florence Tuaumu Saulo.
Most were against any changes in the Retirement Fund investments.
Candidate Larry Sanitoa pointed out that increasing the local investment cap was illegal and should never have gone forward.

Representative Vui Florence Saulo also spoke on the same issue of the Retirement Fund.

And on the issue of drugs in schools, most were eager to find ways to ensure the eradication of drugs.
Candidate Foma’i Paepule Logoa’i, a retired police officer, urged students to exrcise their legal rights to arrest drugs offenders.
