Congresswoman Aumua Amata Radewagen is bidding for a fourth term as American Samoa’s representative to the US Congress.

The matai of Pago Pago says in an announcement, “I am humbled to serve as your member of Congress. Together, we are seeing results. I ask for your vote to continue getting things done for American Samoa.“

The Republican congresswoman commented, “In these challenging times, American Samoa benefits from stability in its representative to Washington DC.

“It’s worth knowing that I have gained in seniority, serving on three Committees that make sense for American Samoa, and in two of them, I am Vice Ranking Member,” says her announcement.

“I also have built a dependable track record of bipartisan efforts and co-sponsorships. These often include Veterans and small business bills, but also areas where Islanders or Pacific representatives can team up, and times when territories work together to be treated like states in per capita funding.”

The congresswoman, who was first elected in 2014, said she “is every bit as enthusiastic about representing American Samoa today as she was on day one,” and adds she has “been blessed with good health and energy” and loves pubic service.

She thanks all those who have voted for her and concludes, “May the Lord guide your decisions. God will work within our elections to do good for our islands and take care of our families. May God bless American Samoa and the United States.“
