StarKist Samoa has welcomed the assistance from ASg in allowing foreigners whose immigration I’d cards have expired to work for its Satala plant.
As long as they work for the cannery they will be allowed to remain in American Samoa,
The cannery hasn’t been able to retain workforce numbers since istimukus checks and increased social benefits through Wic and food stamp programs have been available,
Human Resources manager at StarKist milky schustrer says due to reduced workforce the cannery has had to lower production levels,

ASG’s new Chief immigration officer Mrs Fagamalama Fualaau said they were able to identify hundreds of foreigners already in the territory with expired immigration papers.
