Tafuna High School is the overall winner of this year’s secondary School Speech Festival which was held today at Leone High School.
The hosts settled for second place, and Fagaitua High Sschool placed third.
About 500 students from 9 public and private high schools competed and students parents and faculty showed up to watch and cheer on the performers.

A member of the Speech Festival Planning Committee, Pualani Fui, says it was evident from the costumes, props and performances that the schools poured so much effort into their preparations for the festival.
She said with each passing year, the quality of performances keeps going up and the judges have a hard time selecting the winners.
