Vaccinations/Importance of Boosting

  • About 12 thousand people are due for boosting that have not come in.
  • About >50% of positive cases did not receive a booster
  • Boosting benefits – 97% less chance of severe illness, hospitalization, even death

    • Especially for elderly population
    • Comorbidities/NCDs
    • High Risk

Testing & Treatments

  • Importance of getting tested once feeling symptoms or exposed to positive person
  • What about home testing? What to do next if tested positive at home?

    • Go to nearest testing site of DOH to reconfirm and get home isolation Directive
    • Isolate self for 14 days, family should quarantine if tested negative
    • Receive a clearance after the 14 days isolation completed

  • Why must one isolate for 14 days if tested positive?

    • May pass virus on to those who are at high risk

  • When do I receive treatments if I test positive?
