Lt. Governor Talauega Eleasalo Ale leads a delegation to Manu’a to attend the opening of the Ofu Airport and, also, the Manua’a Flag Day celebration.
The Ofu Airport was funded by the Federal Aviation Administration, under its Airport Improvement Projects. Groundbreaking was held on March 26th, 2021. The contractor was Paramount Builders with Pago Pago Consultants as Construction Manager.
The dedication is being held today and will mark the first time in more than 5 years that a plane will land at Ofu Airport.
The Manu’a Day celebration is being held tomorrow.
The actual holiday is July 16th but due to the date falling on Saturday, the holiday is tomorrow.
