As ANZ Bank prepares to leave American Samoa after 21 years of doing business in the territory, it is preparing remaining employees for what they want to do next.
The bank has an education fund with a fixed dollar amount, available to those who want to further their studies.
It also has training and counseling services; and those who remain with the bank, up to when it closes, will be eligible for a redundancy package.
Regional Country Head of ANZ Guam and American Samoa, Clarke Schaumann, said that there’s no change in the closing date that was announced in March. September 30th is ANZ’s last day of business.
He explains what the bank is offering employees.
