A short animated film about rheumatic heart disease premiered, last evening, at the ASCC Multipurpose Center.
Produced by the Brigham Young University Rheumatic Fever Relief Team, the film, which is in Samoan, will be used by the American Samoa Department of Health in its campaign to control and manage rheumatic heart disease in the territory.
DOH partners along with members of the community attended the film’s premiere and gave rave reviews.
Lead animator Kelly Loosli and one of the film’s main collaborators, Justine Tavana, a Samoan, talked about the film Lo’u Fatu.
