The Governor’s Chief of Staff, Loa Tuimavave Tauapai Laupola, has provided more details of Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga’s trip off island.
On his way to meetings of the National Governor’s Association and the Interagency Group for Insular Areas, in Washington DC, the Governor’s schedule in Hawaii includes a courtesy visit with Govenor Josh Green, Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi, University of Hawaii President David Lassner, and President of the East West Center, Suzanne (Suzy) Puanani Vares-Lum.
He’s also to meet with military service members and their families stationed in Honolulu and students attending UH Manoa, UH Hilo and Chaminade University. Meetings are also lined up with the US Army Corps of Engineers and NFL figures such as Jesse Sapolu, Tua Tagovailoa and other Samoans attending the Polynesia Hall of Fame.
Traveling with the Governor and First Lady on Monday are Loa, Governor’s Secretary Sally Faumuina, Salanoa Ricky Salanoa and security officer Fano Alapati.
